Our client is highly profitable and successful privately owned organisation, described as entrepreneurial and highly acquisitive. The Group is built around a solid and profitable core and seek to develop value added business through a fantastic phase of growth and investment.

This organisation operate at pace and are experienced at building businesses and recognised for being ambitious, well funded, long term and strategic.

With a successful acquisition now complete, an opportunity has now arisen for a General Manager to take ownership of this potentially high growth business they have added to their portfolio.

With strong profitability and a clear direction of travel, they now wish to appoint a credible and high performing UK General Manager to play a key part in initiating and driving new business streams with the objective of providing value added technical solutions.

Under the inspirational leadership of the Managing Director, this business has firm plans to treble in size over the next three to five years.

Role Specification:

Reporting to the Managing Director, the General Manager will be responsible for the overall operational and sales activity of this individual business unit across its single site in Cheshire. 

They will develop commercial opportunities by growing sales revenue in new markets and developing more bespoke market and product opportunities, enhancing sales capability and performance through bespoke selling and top quality sales management.

Oversee
and develop short, medium and long term strategic plans to achieve company objectives.

Establish, manage and motivate the UK team, you will provide them with a framework to develop within a driven and focused environment.

Person Criteria:

Experienced in managing the supply of Electrical/Mechanical equipment into the project sector with a proven track record of building long term relationships with Installers/Contractors/Specifiers and Facility Management Service Providers would be beneficial.

Strong commercial skills with experience of taking new products to market and growing sales of a technical product. Experienced in designing, developing and taking to market, Electrical Products incorporating the latest electronics and communications technologies would clearly be advantageous.

Described as a charismatic leader with the skills to build, motivate and develop a new team.

An ability to build positive personal relationships – both with customers and colleagues alike. You will be confident, assertive but not aggressive; articulate and persuasive but not abrasive.
